Catherine Cuypers is an Antwerp-based writer passionate about faerie folklore, the Gothic, speculative fiction, fantasy, fairy tales, the gruesome and horrific, the wild and whimsy, following writerly whims, and traipsing about in the woods in search of Tír na Nóg.

Catherine holds a BA in English Literature and Linguistics – Theater, Film, and Performance Theory, an MA in English Literature and Linguistics from the University of Antwerp, and an MA in Creative Writing from the University of Hull. 

​

She divides her time between writing, reading, working at a bookstore, and teaching creative writing. 

​

She considers her greatest achievement to date to have fenced for Lancaster University's women's 1st team in the 2021 annual Lancaster against York Roses Varsity Competition (dear reader, they won – roses are red). And yeah, sure, she has some publications under her belt as well, that's also pretty neat.
